Duran Duran Information
Duran Duran is on tour for the Astronaut tour currently.
We took a bunch of photos, and many will be here as soon as I write the
gallery code, and we get all the images scanned. In the meantime, here are
a few of my cell phone pics.
Right before the Cleveland show, we were walking through
Tower City (a nearby mall), and were on our way to the
Hard Rock Cafe
on the 3rd floor of the mall. We were walking by this tiny little stage. I
didn't think anything of it, and kept walking up the steps around it, and along
the little walkway above and behind it. I tend to walk in front of the 4 of us,
and was ready to turn around to see how far behind me they were. I realized
someone was walking my direction who looked familiar. I start thinking it
looks like Roger Taylor. It's 5:30 Eastern, and the concert is at 7:30, there's
a meet and greet, and surely it can't be him. Yet he looked an awful lot like
him. Just impossible, it can't be him. Keep in mind I'm standing there with
the tour shirt on and a leather jacket. I kind of turned thinking it really
does look like him. Turns out the ladies behind me (who are with me) are
fantasizing about Duran Duran playing on this 15 foot stage and saying things
like Duran Duran could play here, but Roger would have to play on just one
drum, there's no room! Of course, they're all staring at their feet as they
climb the steps, and Katie has the presence of mind to say "Hi Roger!" who says
"Hiya." and keeps right on walking. Don't just take my word for it... Laura
saw him too!
