Virtual Air Traffic Simulation (vatsim)

I'm a member of the VATSIM network, ID 901351. To join, visit http://www.vatsim.net. Registration is FREE. From the vatsim site, you can find links to allow you to interface Micro$oft Flight Simulator to the vatsim network. For instance, using MS Flight Simulator 2000, 2002, or 2004 and a product called 'squawkbox' (also free), you can publish a flight plan which will show up in the vatsim network allowing vatsim ATCs to see your intended flight plan, including any waypoints you have set up. For this, you'll use Squawkbox to function as your Flight Management System (FMS). There aren't always ATCs online, so you may need to use UNICOM for flight, but vatsim.net and Squawkbox can show you if there is an ATC for your area, who you will need clearance from. Not all ATCs use voice, so some you may need to 'type' back and forth, but instead of picking an option, you're typing your radio chatter. "N12345P with you Center, climbing through 13 thousand for 15 thousand 10 nautical miles east of the Troy VOR."

I am rated with a C1 (Controller) status, which means I can staff any position in the Kansas City Area Regional Traffic Control Center. To clarify, this is the VATSIM ARTCC (aka ZKC ARTCC), and it is not affiliated with the FAA in any way.

Check here to see if I'm online: Who is Online and look for me in the ATC (3rd table).
